This competition will be held in the category of Quran memorization for male and female students of Quran memorization training centers throughout the country, Al-Watan news agency reported.
It will be organized within the framework of the ministry’s efforts to promote the Word of God and establish the correct understanding of the meanings and purposes of the Quran, according to the announcement.
Five of the best male and female students of each center, announced by the heads of the Quran memorization training centers, will participate in this contest, provided that they have not been introduced in previous editions, the statement said.
Those who do not meet the necessary conditions at any stage of the competition will be eliminated, it said.
The deadline for submitting letters of introduction to the ministry’s General Directorate of Quran Affairs is December 31, 2025.
Regarding the prizes, the ministry has planned prizes of 70,000 Egyptian pounds, 50,000 and 30,000 pounds for the first to third place winners, respectively. This prize will be awarded to the center and distributed among the top students, the director of the center, and other Quranic officials in the region.
It was also decided that any participant who scores 80% or more in any competition between two centers will be awarded a prize of 2,000 pounds.
The ministry went on to say that the contest will be held at the Al-Rahma Mosque in Cairo.
