
The competition will be broadcast live on the network during the holy month, the network said, adding that those interested in participating in the contest can register by considering the following points and conditions:
1- Send your full name along with your country of residence.
2- Participants must be between 18 and 40 years old and provide proof of age (national card or passport). This competition is for men only.
3- Participants must send their mobile phone number, home phone number, email address, and Skype code (ID). (The competition will be held virtually via Skype in audio and video.)
4- To participate in the preliminary stage of the competition should send an audio file of themselves reciting one of the following pages of the Quran: 60, 88, 125, 206 or 549, depending on their preference. This audio file should be sent via WhatsApp to the number 00989999914320.
The first stage of the competition, which began at the start of Ramadan 2024, was structured into three rounds, each lasting eight days. A total of 96 reciters competed over 24 nights, with 24 finalists advancing to the final round. To ensure fairness and encourage wider participation, the panel of judges changed for each round, incorporating experts from various countries.
Organizers emphasized that “Wa Rattil” is the first international competition in the Islamic world dedicated specifically to the art of Tarteel (measured recitation of the Quran). The event, broadcast nightly throughout Ramadan, aimed to highlight excellence in Quranic recitation and promote engagement with the holy text across diverse communities.
