IQNA – The Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla (prayer hall) will host the 33rd edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition.

The Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition is annually held during the holy month of Ramadan by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

This is according to Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Reza Arbab Soleimani, the head of the exhibition, speaking at the first meeting of the expo’s policy-making council on Tuesday.

He said one of the resolutions of the policy-making council of the 32nd edition of the exhibition last year was to launch a permanent secretariat for the exhibition, which was implemented, and the secretariat was launched in May 2025.

Regarding the preparations for holding the 33rd edition, he said that to organize the largest Quranic event in the country, 18 advisory council meetings were held starting in May 2025, which continued until December.

They aimed to identify the shortcomings of the last edition and to enrich the 33rd exhibition, he noted.

Discussions and review sessions were held with the presence of Quranic experts and activists to that aim, he stated.

“We also had an important meeting with the officials of the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla and the necessary agreements were made. The international section was specifically reviewed and meetings were held with the managers of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (about the international section).”

Referring to the role of government agencies in the exhibition, he said due to the importance of maximum presence of government and public agencies in the exhibition and presentation of their latest Quranic achievements, 40 government and public agencies were invited, and in a consultative meeting, the points of view of the relevant officials were discussed and reviewed.

The official also mentioned some of the approved programs for the 33rd exhibition and said holding Quranic circles and nightly recitation sessions in cooperation with the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, introducing translations of the Holy Quran and Nahj al-Balagha, implementing special programs for the 1500th anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and paying special attention to Nahj al-Balagha and Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh are among the most important programs on the agenda.

He appreciated the cooperation and good interaction of the managers of Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla and said the allocation of 22,000 square meters by the Mosalla, compared to last year, which was 14,000 square meters, indicates the expansion of the level of cooperation and activities in this period of the International Holy Quran Exhibition.

The 33rd edition of the Tehran International Holy Quran Exhibition will be launched in the Iranian capital on February 20, 2026.

The exhibition is annually held during the holy month of Ramadan by the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.
