In a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, Pezeshkian expressed regret over the aggressors’ use of the territory of some Muslim countries in attacks against Iran.

He emphasized that Iran’s defensive reaction to the origin of these attacks is natural, while the Islamic Republic of Iran considers Muslim countries its brothers and does not want even a single Muslim to be harmed.

The president thanked the Muslim nation of Pakistan for its support and solidarity with Iran in the face of the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime, and appreciated the efforts of some friendly and neighboring countries, including Pakistan, to stop the imposed war.

Emphasizing the sinister intentions of the Zionist regime to expand the war, the president warned the countries of the region of the US attacks that Muslim countries must ensure that their territory is not used by the aggressors to attack other Muslim countries.

Referring to the common religious and human ties between Muslim countries, Pezeshkian emphasized that there is a huge capacity among Muslim countries to confront common threats, especially from the aggression of the Zionist regime.

He also thanked Pakistan for its mediation efforts to stop the aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and stated that Iran was subjected to military aggression twice in the midst of dialogue and diplomacy during the nuclear negotiations, and now, despite the claims and promises of American officials that economic and energy infrastructure would not be attacked, we are witnessing these centers being targeted.

“This contradictory speech and behavior has certainly led to Iran’s increasing distrust of the aggressor America.”

In this conversation, the prime minister of Pakistan reiterated his country’s principled position in condemning military aggression against Iran, especially the firm condemnation of the recent attacks by the Zionist regime on Iranian economic infrastructure in the cities of Ahvaz and Isfahan, and emphasized the full solidarity of the people and government of Pakistan with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Sharif thanked the competent authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the safe passage of commercial vessels from some countries, including Pakistan, through the Strait of Hormuz, expressing hope that this process would continue.
