This is a new step in the systematic policy of harassment and abuse against them.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office said on its website Thursday that Itamar Ben-Gvir issued the order.
It said the prison administration carried out widespread confiscations of clothing, leaving most prisoners with only one shirt, one pair of pants, and one or two pieces of underwear. This has exacerbated their suffering under the harsh prison conditions and the absence of even the most basic necessities.
The office added that the prison administration also confiscated copies of the Quran from the cells, leaving only one copy for each section, which contains approximately 15 cells. This deprives the prisoners of their right to read the Quran except once every few days.
The office confirmed that living conditions inside the Negev Prison remain catastrophic, with the food continuing to be of poor quality and no improvements being made. There is also a severe shortage of hygiene supplies, and the allotted time for exercise is no more than 45 minutes, during which prisoners are forced to shower and attend to their basic needs.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Media Office stressed that what is happening in the Negev Prison represents a dangerous escalation in the policy of collective punishment practiced by the enemy's prison administration against the prisoners. It called on human rights and humanitarian organizations to take immediate action to stop these violations and hold the enemy accountable for its ongoing crimes.
