In his latest anti-Shia remarks, Yusuf Al-Qaradawi urged Syria’s opposition to unite in confronting the ‘Shia bloc’.
The radical cleric made the remarks in his Friday prayers sermons in Doha, Qatar, Al-Mujiz website recited.
He also regarded Mohamed Morsi as the legitimate president of Egypt and called for boycotting the referendum on Egypt’s new constitution.
Al-Qaradawi stressed that Egyptians should not obey the current administration that is running the country.
In Egypt, meanwhile, protests continued on Friday as people took to the streets in a number of cities in response to a call for rallies by the Muslim Brotherhood.
Two teenagers are reported to have been killed in Friday protests including a 13-year-old boy who was run over by a bus.
