The Channel TV has invited the Muhajjaba (Hiab-wearing) woman after the country’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that wearing Hijab is allowed in government offices, Ajib website reported.
A few weeks ago, four women members of the parliament for the first time attended the parliament sessions while wearing headscarves.
The four women MPs had decided to don Hijab after performing Hajj.
Turkey has been a secular state since it was founded by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in 1923. Since then there have been restrictions on Hijab in the West Asian country.
