He made the remark on Sunday in a ceremony held in Tehran to commemorate late Hojat-ol-Islam Ansari.
Hojat-ol-Islam Ansari, who was Iran’s cultural attaché in Lebanon, was killed in a twin terrorist bombing outside the Iranian embassy in Beirut on Tuesday, November 19.
Hojat-ol-Islam Alavi underlined that terrorists will get nowhere by committing such crimes but will only cause to strengthen Shia-Sunni unity.
He also highlighted the cultural activities of Martyr Ansari and said defending the strongholds of faith, ideology and beliefs is very important in Islam.
He added that the warriors of the cultural warfare are Ulama (scholars) according to Imam Hassan Askari (AS).
A number of other high-ranking officials were also present at the commemoration service, including Secretary General of the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Forum Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Hassan Akhtari, Head of the Awqaf and Charity Affaris Organization Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammadi, and former culture minister Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini.
