Iranian Book Week Concludes in Tunisia

The closing ceremony of the Book Week of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tunisia was held on November 23.


According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, the program was held with the participation of Sadeq Golafzani, Iranian cultural attaché in Tunisia and Mohammad Kamal Qohha, head of Tunisia’s National Library.



The Tunisian official appreciated the Iranians’ efforts in organization of the week in his country for the first time.



He said that during the week, researchers and scholars in Tunisia got acquainted with Iranian thoughts and works in various fields.



The head of the library expressed hope that more such scientific and influential programs which introduce the Iranian civilization and culture will be planned.



The Iranian representative stressed the necessity of strengthening scientific and cultural relations between Iran and Tunisia.



He considered the week as an opportunity for both Iranian and Tunisian people to know about the scientific and intellectual potentials of the two countries and expressed hope that Tunisia’s Book Week to be held in Iran in the near future.



A precious copy of the Holy Quran was gifted by the Iranian center to the library at the end of the program.
