In a message on Monday, Mohseni Ejei said serving the Islamic homeland and protecting the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic is a religious obligation. 

At a time when the forces of infidelity and arrogance, with all their might and with their imposed and aggressive approaches, are desperately seeking to divide Iran, weaken the pillars of the system, and sever the bond between the nation and the establishment, resistance to these evil conspiracies can only be achieved by those who, with firm faith and under the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, consider themselves soldiers in this field, he said.

Relying on valuable experiences in various fields and benefiting from revolutionary teachings, you have always been on the path of uninterrupted service, the Judiciary chief said.

“Now, with the approval of the Leader, you are in a position that is at the forefront of protecting national interests and confronting cross-border threats in the era of combined war by enemies. It is hoped that by relying on the same spirit of jihad and with the help of the Almighty, you will be able to increase the authority of the system and the independence of the country.”

Mohseni Ejei asked God for Rezaei’s success and appreciated the efforts and services of Mohammad Baqir Zolqadr, the former SNSC chief.

In a decree on Sunday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian appointed Rezaei as the new secretary of the SNSC.
