Head of the Basij of Women Organization Minoo Aslani made the announcement while speaking to IQNA, added that the Congress of Pioneers of Returning to Best Hijab will be held on November 27, marking the last day of the Basij Week.

She said the congress aims to honor women who have recently chosen to wear Chador (a loose, usually black robe worn by Muslim women that covers the body from head to toe) as the best Hijab.

She added that senior cleric Hojat-ol-Islam Qara’ati will address the congress, speaking about the Basij Week and Hijab.

According to  Ms Aslani, the congress aims to highlight the importance of promoting religious criteria, foster the model of the best Hijab (Chador) and introduce Islamic models for Muslim women.
