85 Contestants in Final Round of Saudi Quran Competition

85 contenders competed in the final round of Saudi Arabia’s International Holy Quran Contest.

The final round of the 35th edition of the international event was held in the holy city of Makkah on Wednesday, November 27, according to Al-Riyadh daily.

The 85 have made to it to the finals from among the 150 contestants in the first stage.

They showed their talents to the jury panel of the competition made up of 20 Quran experts from different countries.

The jury members are from Saudi Arabia, Libya, Indonesia, Qatar, South Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Turkey among others.

The competition will come to an end on Sunday, December 1, in a ceremony at Masji Al-Haram in Makkah.
