Pictorial Quran Translation in Greek on YouTube

A pictorial translation of the Hoy Quran in Greek language was published on YouTube by Tariq Rezvan, professor of languages and translation of Al-Azhar University.


According to ONA website, the professor said that it is the first time that a Greek translation of the Holy Quran is published on YouTube.



He added that the translation of the Divine Book took one year to be completed and the university did not cooperated in the project.



Rezvan said that he has tried to upload pictures most relevant to each verse of the Holy Quran in his translation which is accompanied with a recitation of the verses by Sheikh Mohammad Siddiq Minshawi, eminent Egyptian Qari.



He added that he sent the translation to the website in the form of a PDF file and Yaser Al-Daghidi, a student of Al-Azhar, has cooperated in computer processing of the project.



The translator believes that publication of the translation online will help to disseminate Islam in the Greece.
