UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said the book Tamam-e (the entire) Nahj-ul-Balaqa has been displayed at the UN library.

In a letter to Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Sadeq Mousawi, who has compiled the book, Ban said due to the excellent content of the book, he has asked the UN library officials to showcase it at the library, the website of Seminaries Management Center reported.

Ban added that he is well aware of the significance and major status of Nahj-ul-Balaqa in the daily lives of Muslims in Iran and elsewhere in the world.

He also appreciated Hojat-ol-Islam Mousawi’s years of efforts for compiling and writing the book.

Hojat-ol-Islam Mousawi had gifted the book Tamam-e Nahj-ul-Balaqa to the UN secretary general last month.

Nahj-ul-Balagha is a collection of sermons, letters and miscellaneous sayings of Imam Ali (AS) compiled by Sayyid Radhi.

As Sayyid Radhi had a literary approach to collecting the Nahj-ul-Balaqa, many of Imam Ali’s (AS) saying had been left out in the work. Hence, Hojat-ol-Islam Mousawi collected other sayings of the first Imam (AS) and added it to the Nahj-ul-Balaqa, the result being Tamam-e Nahj-ul-Balaqa.
