Quran Interpretation Contest Concludes in Palestine

The first competition on interpretation of the Holy Quran has wrapped up in the Palestinian city of Ramallah.

The competition was organized in the city’s Grand Mosque by the Ministry of Awqaf, Ma’an news agency reported.

210 individuals from different parts of Palestine took part in the Quranic event, Taysir Al-Rajabi, director general of the Awqaf Ministry’s Quran Department said.

He added that the ministry is determined to serve the Quran and foster the Holy Book’s teachings all over Palestine.

Al-Rajabi urged the contestants to contribute to promoting Islamic teachings and focus on serving people.

The official went on to say that Islam is a religion of unity and that it needs no exaggeration.
