Quran Committees of Headquarters for Commemorating Fajr Start Activities

The Quran committees of the Headquarters for Commemorating the Ten-day Fajr (dawn) Celebrations have started their activities in different provinces.

Mehdi Qarasheikhlu, an official with the headquarters made the remark in an interview with IQNA, hoping that Quranic activities will be a significant part of the celebrations.

The Ten-day Fajr (dawn) Celebrations are held on February 1-11 every year, marking the victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.

Qarasheikhlu said the headquarters has 44 special committees one of which is the Quran committee that had been first set up six years ago.

He said the Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization coordinates the Quranic activities planned for the ten-day event.

He highlighted the role of the media in covering Quranic events during the celebration and said the Quran TV and Quran Radio should especially strive to promote the Quranic atmosphere during the celebrations.

The official noted that on the first day of the celebrations, the country’s Quranic community will visit the mausoleum of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA) to pay tribute to the aspirations of the late leader.

  He added that organizing an exhibition of Quranic accomplishments will be among other activities planned for the occasion.
