Establishment of Satellite Network Featuring Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Virtues Suggested

Chancellor of Iraq’s Al-Nahrayn University called for establishment of a satellite network featuring the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) life, character and virtues.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 8th International Festival of “Spring of Risalat”, Bassim Al-Abduli also suggested that a special research center be set up to study the life and character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), Al-Kafil website reported.  

Also addressing the closing ceremony was Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi Karbalayi, custodian of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS).

In his speech, Sheikh Karbalayi underlined the need for confronting extremist ideologies and the challenges that threaten the path of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

The senior cleric referred to terrorism, which is rooted in extremism, as one of these challenges.

The Spring of Risalat” festival was held last week in the holy city of Karbala on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Imam Sadeq (AS).

It was organized by the Astans (custodianships) of the holy shrines of Imam Hussein (AS) and Hazrat Abbas (AS) and attended by cultural, religious and academic figures.
