The ceremony was held Monday in a spiritual and magnificent atmosphere, with the presence of religious and local officials and residents of the city, tifeltpress reported.
Held with the slogan “We Ourselves have revealed the Quran and We are its Protectors,” (Verse 9 of Surah Al-Hijr), it also commemorated the 15th century since the birth of the Prophet (PBUH).
A Quranic school affiliated with the Al-Quds Mosque in Tifelt cooperated in organizing this ceremony in coordination with the local council of scholars of Khamisat, the representative of the Moroccan Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and local and security officials.
The procession started from the Tifelt municipality building and continued towards the Al-Quds Mosque.
This program, which depicted a stunning spiritual movement, was welcomed by citizens who lined the streets to watch the special religious event.
The Quranic procession began with the National Security Forces leading the way, ensuring security at various points along the route and regulating traffic.
Along the way, participants created a spiritual atmosphere by singing religious hymns and praising the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The students who were honored appeared in traditional costumes, riding horses and carrying their Quranic tablets, in a scene that evoked the status of prestigious Quranic schools in Morocco, expressing pride in memorizing the Quran and encouraging young people to learn and memorize it.
The Quranic procession is an annual event that strengthens the status of Quranic schools in Moroccan society and highlights their central role in educating generations based on Islamic principles, preserving the Holy Book, and spreading the values of moderation and tolerance.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to honor students who had memorized the Holy Quran after years of study and perseverance.
The families of the students and participants expressed their satisfaction with this celebration, which reflects the high esteem in Moroccan society for the Quran activists.
They emphasized that such initiatives help strengthen religious and national identity and encourage younger generations to adhere to the Book of God and emulate its noble morals and teachings.
