Takfiri Fatwas Lead to Discord

Issuing Takfiri Fatwas is a Fitna (sedition) which will lead to the spread of discord in the Muslim world, a Bahraini political activist said.

“Those behind this Fitna have targeted Islam and seek to portray it as a religion of violence and killing,” Sayyed Jafar Alavi told IQNA.

He said the Muslim world today is facing two currents, one is that of discord and Fitna and killing, which has targeted Islam itself, and the other is the Islamic Awakening, which is spreading increasingly.

The cleric said the Islamic Awakening movement is developing against the divisive current of Takfiris.

He referred to the organization of an international conference in Tehran with the slogan of proximity of Islamic thoughts as a move originating from the Islamic movement.  

Alavi also said Islam is the flag-bearer of freedom of nations today and that is why there are so many people converting to the religion all around the world.
