According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, Hassan Zakeri, Iranian cultural attaché in Senegal, said that the workshop has been planned with the aim of promoting the skills of Muslim citizens in this field of Islamic arts and disseminate Quranic culture in the society.
He announced that two eminent Iranian artists will present their works of calligraphy and illumination in an exhibition to be held on the occasion.
Ahmad Lee, famous calligrapher of the region, thanked the Iranian center for providing the opportunity and asked the students to complete and present their artworks at the exhibition.
The workshop which will continue for three months is being held for 6 hours two days a week.
