Quran Recitation Course for Children Begins in Qatar

The first edition of an educational course titled “Young Quran Reciter” began in January 2014 in Qatar.


According to Al-Sharq newspaper, the course has been organized in cooperation with the “Aisha bint Muhammad Al-Suwaidi” Center for Quran Memorization which is affiliated to Al-Akhawain Grand Mosque in Qatar.



The Women Section of Sheikh Eid Al-Khayriyyah Institute supervises the Quranic educational course.



Quran memorization, every day’s supplications, Islamic rituals and moral virtues are practiced during the course.



Some cultural contests have also been planned for the children participating at the course with the aim of encouraging the younger generation to memorize and recite the Holy Quran’s verse.



The Quran memorization center of the country is involved in training Quranic generations through organization of educational and cultural programs for children in Qatar.



150 Qatari children from 4 to 13 years of age participated in Quranic programs planned by the center last year.
