Qatari Foundation, Educational Center to Distribute 1 Million Quran Copies

IQNA – A Qatari foundation and an educational center plan to distribute one million copies of the Holy Quran in memory of the country’s former Emir.

The Thani Humanitarian Foundation and the Ajyal Educational Center have launched the “Noor wa Wafaa” initiative in which one million copies of the Holy Book, including those with translations into English and Spanish, are distributed. 

The Thani Humanitarian Foundation asked for contributions in spreading the world of Allah and to be “partners in this blessed endeavor.”

Qatari Emir's Father and former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani died earlier this month at the age of 74.

Sheikh Hamad ruled Qatar from 1995 until 2013, when he transferred power to his son, the current Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
