The city of Sabzevar, north east of Iran, is hosting the event on Monday, February 17, Tasnim news agency reported.
A number of scholars and cultural figures as well as deans of Quranic sciences colleges are attending the conference in Sabzevar Quranic College.
Executive secretary of the conference Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Akbari said 114 papers have been submitted to the conference, and that selected papers will be published.
He said the event is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and teachings, highlighting the Quranic heritage of Imam Reza (AS) and creating a venue for Quranic scholars to exchange ideas.
Hojat-ol-Islam Akbari added that imam Reza’s (AS) debates about issues like Tawhid (oneness of God), infallibility of God’s messengers, and the status of Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) according to the Quran are among the main themes of the conference.
