Fars Province Prepares to Host Nat’l Quran Contest

Iran’s southern province of Fars is ready to host the country’s national Quran competition.

Abdol Reza Sadeqi, an official with the organizing committee, said all the necessary preparations have been made to hold the contest, IRNA reported.
He said that with special support from the Supreme Leader’s representative in the province and the governor general, the organizing committee has set the ground for best holding the Quranic event. 
Sadeqi said four special committees have made the needed preparations for the city of Shiraz, capital of Fars province, to host the contest.
He added that the competition will bring spiritual blessings to the city.
The 36th national Quran competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is scheduled to kick off on February 25 Shiraz with the participation of 197 men and 177 women.
A number of the country’s top Quranic experts, including Abbas Ememjome, Mohammad Reza Pourzargari, Gholamreza Shahmiveh, Mahmoud Lotfinia and Ahmad Abolqassemi will evaluate the performance of the contestants.
150 Quran recitation sessions are planned to be held in Fars province on the sidelines of the national Quranic contest.
