36th Nat’l Quran Competition Underway in Shiraz

The 36th national Quran competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran has been underway in Shiraz, Fars Province since February 21.


This edition of the competition began in the categories of Tarteel and Tahqeeq recitation of the Holy Quran’s verses with 37 and 67 participants respectively.



16 Quran memorizers from various parts of the country participated in memorization of the entire Quran and 18 ones compete in memorization of 20 Juzes in the second day of the contest.



Participants in the category of Quranic concepts will compete tomorrow, February 23.



The preliminary stage of this category was held in January with 200 participants from among whom 11 male and 15 female Quran activists were selected to compete at the final stage.



The national competition will continue until February 24 and Hafez Hall of the city will host the closing ceremony of the event on February 25.
