Ali Asghar Shoaei, the university’s Quran and Etrat deputy, told IQNA that the Olympiad will be held in two sections, written and oral, in May.
He said the categories of the Quranic event include Quran recitation, Tarteel, memorization and Adhan (call to prayers).
He added that the Mashhad branch of the university’s Quranic sciences college will host the final stage of the Olympiad.
According to Shoaei, 25 top participants in the written section and 14 in the oral section will qualify to take part in the University Students’ National Quran Festival.
