The ‘Organ donation between Islamic ethico-legal discourse and Muslim reality’ on Tuesday will be hosted by the Research Centre for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (CILE), a member of Qatar Faculty of Islamic Studies (QFIS), in collaboration with Qatar Organ Donation Centre.
The seminar, part of a series of CILE events organized to address the issues of biomedical ethics, will allow two prominent specialists in the field of organ transplantation and the related ethical issues to express their views.
“The research centre is committed to helping Muslims reform their status quo, both theoretically and practically, by reconciling with the entire world and by contributing to the international exchange of ideas and universal reality through their own doctrinal, ethical and legislative perspectives,” organizers said.
“Within this broad vision, CILE pays special attention to the field of Islam and biomedical ethics with the aim of constructing holistic Islamic perspectives that can introduce seminal contributions and radical reform in this emerging field of study.”
