A Quran recitation session for university students was held in the holy city of Karbala, Iraq, on Friday.

The session was held in the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) in cooperation with the Dar-ol-Quran center of the holy shrine’s Astan (custodianship).

Ammar Al-Khazaei, an official with the Astan, said the session was organized in line with the Dar-ol-Quran center’s Quranic programs for Iraqi university students.

He said a number of students from different Iraqi universities, including Wasit, Sumir, and Najaf, took part in the Quranic event.

The center had organized another Quranic program at the holy shrine last week. It was attended by the pilgrims of the holy shrine as well as Quranic activists.

Last week’s program included Quran recitations, Tawasheeh (religious songs) performances and Quranic discussions.
