Iran’s Quranic Representatives to Leave for Kuwait

Seyyed Mohammad Kermani and Hassan Soleymani will leave for Kuwait today to take part in the Persian Gulf country’s international Quran competition.

They will represent the Islamic Republic of Iran in the competition’s recitation and memorization categories, respectively.
The two will leave Tehran’s Imam Khomeini (RA) Airport for Kuwait City this afternoon and will return to the country on April 9.
Kuwait’s fifth International Prize for Quran kicked off on Monday in the country’s capital city.
It is annually organized by Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The Prize’s exhibition, containing publications by private and public sectors about Holy Quran sciences, was also inaugurated on Monday.
According to Sheikh Abdel Aziz Fazel Al-Unzi, head of the scientific committee of Kuwait’s fifth international Holy Quran competition, two Kuwaiti Quran experts as well as Quran experts from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and Jordan will make up the jury panel of this year’s contest.
