Secretary general of the Lebanese group Hezbollah said the Islamic resistance movement has become stronger than it was in 2006.

Speaking to Al-Safir daily, Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah said the movement’s position has improved both in Lebanon and internationally, slabnews website reported.
He stressed that if the Zionist regime dares to impose another war on Lebanon, the resistance movement will get involved much more powerfully than it did in the 2006 war.
Turning to the situation in Syria, Nasrallah said the war in Syria is not aimed at realizing democracy or justice or fighting corruption, but is meant to upset the country’s position and its stances.
He said the purpose behind waging the war in Syria can be clearly deduced from what has been proposed to Syria’s president (by the opposition fighters’ supporters).
According to Nasrallah, they have suggested that Assad cut diplomatic ties with Iran and resistance movements and get ready for concessions to Israel, which the Syrian president has turned down.
Hezbollah secretary general further underlined that there is no more a threat of Syria’s disintegration or the overthrow of its government.
