The third edition of a Quran competition for women is planned to be held later this month in the country’s Rhone-Alpes region.

The contest will be organized in three categories by the “Garden of Thought” society, onlinehome.fr website reports.
Contenders should be at least 13 years of age and each person can only take part in one category.
The “Garden of Thought” society said the competition is held only for the residents of the Rhone-Alpes region, adding those who won the first titles in the previous editions cannot compete in the same category this year.
Those willing to participate in the competition are also required to attend a session in mid-April to learn about the regulations and methods used in the contest.
France is home to a sizable minority of nearly six million Muslims, the largest in Europe.
