The University of Quranic and Islamic Sciences (Jamiat al-Quran al-Karim Wa al-Ulum al-Islamia in Arabic), is a state-run academic center in Sudan.
It was launched in the city of Um Darman in 1990. The university now has more than 20 colleges in Um Darman and elsewhere.
Its colleges include Holy Quran, theology, Arabic language, management, economics, and educational sciences.
The university is a member of the Union of Arab Universities, Union of African Universities and the Association of Islamic Universities.
Its mission has been announced to be teaching Quranic sciences and Nabawi Sunnah, elevating the status of the Muslim Ummah and enriching the Sudanese society relying on the foundations of the Islamic civilization.
The academic center also works to train scholars and experts in such fields as Quranic and Islamic sciences.
