Winners of Quran Contest for Seminary Students Awarded

Title winners in the 5th nationwide Quran competition for seminary students were awarded at a ceremony in the holy city of Qom.

Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi and a number of directors of Qom Seminary were present at the ceremony at Allameh Tabatabei Dar-ol-Quran Center, Fars news agency reported.
Addressing the event, Hadi Hosseinkhani, an official with the seminaries management department, presented a report on organizing the contest.
According to Mr. Hosseinkhani, nearly 6000 seminary students took part in the competition.
He said the annual contest, which was first held in 2009, features memorization of the Holy Quran (at different levels), as well as Tarteel recitation of Quran.
