Int’l Forum in Algeria Discusses Quran Interpretation Movement

An international forum on “modernism in Quran interpretation movement” is underway in Algeria from April 28.


According to elmoudjahid website, intellectuals and experts in Quranic sciences from different parts of the world, including Islamic and European countries, have participated in the two-day program.



It has been organized by the College of Islamic Sciences , and Humanities in Adrar city, southwest of Algeria



The participants investigate various methods for interpretation of the Holy Quran in the universities of the world of Islam and focus on differences and common points in various interpretations.



Quran interpretation and revision of interpretation methods, interpretative and morphological studies of the Holy Quran, scientific methods for interpretation of the Divine Word, comparison of different interpretation methods in the world of Islam and application of scientific methods to provide new and modern interpretations are some of the themes of the papers and speeches.



The international forum has been organized with the participation of members of Libyan Council of Scholars, a group of members of the International Union of Muslim Scholars as well as intellectuals and scholars from Morocco, Tunisia, Mauritania, France, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, and the United Arab Emirates.
