According to Al-Raya newspaper, the association has specified one million Qatari Rials for publication of the Quran copies.
Some 100,000 of the copies will be distributed in Togo and Ivory Coast to meet the need of Muslims to the Divine Book in these regions.
Moreover, 25000 copies of the Holy Quran’s Juzes (parts) 29 and 30 will also be distributed by the association among the Muslims of the two countries.
The Eid Bin Muhammad Al-Thani Charitable Association is an Islamic charitable organisation based in Qatar. The organisation manages and invests the endowment of Sheikh Eid Bin Muhammad Al-Thani and other funds for the benefit of needy people in the region.
Muslims in Togo represent between 12 and 20% of the national population and about 50-60% of the population of Ivory Coast.
