Hojat-ol-Islam Seyyed Masoud Mirian, the head of the competition's technical committee made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that sending invitations for the jury panel members started five months ago.
He referred to the activities of the technical committee and said it consists of five work teams whose activities include evaluation of the level of the contestants, education, identifying Quranic talents, etc.
Hojat-ol-Islam Mirian further said that 60 countries have so far announced their preparedness to take part in Iran's international Quranic event.
The 31st edition of the international Quran competition will start in Tehran on May 26.
More than 110 Quran memorizers and reciters from 75 countries participated in the previous edition of the event in 2013.
The contest is annually organized by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization.
