The participants in Iran's 31st International Holy Quran Competition will pay a visit to the house of Imam Khomeini (RA) in Tehran's Jamaran neighborhood.

Karim Baqeri, an official with the competition's organizing committee said the visit comes as the competition attendees are willing to learn more about the life of the Islamic Republic of Iran's founder.
He added that, like the previous years, the participants will also visit the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) to pay tribute to the man who led the Islamic Revolution of Iran to victory, IRNA reported.
Iran is set to present the 31st edition of the country’s most important Quranic event, International Quran Competition, in the capital city of Tehran, starting from May 26.
Reciters and memorizers from over 65 countries have signed up to participate in the upcoming competition in Tehran.
Nine committees have been launched to hold the event. They will also manage various activities scheduled for this year’s competition dubbed “Quran and Islamic lifestyle”.
A committee of 15 jurors including 5 Iranian and 10 foreign masters will judge the competition.
The annual competition is held to encourage the public to read the Holy Quran and to act upon the teachings of the Holy Quran.
