Rustam Batirov has been invited to attend the programs by the committee for commemorating the 25th anniversary of Imam Khomeini's (RA) demise, IQNA's Europe branch reported.
The deputy Mufti's wife will accompany him to the Islamic Republic. They will arrive in Tehran on Sunday, June 1.
Every year in June, Iranians mourn the demise anniversary of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Imam Khomeini (RA) passed away 25 years ago in 1989. He left behind a legacy of Muslim unity and active resistance to oppression, a legacy which continues to resonate with Muslims today.
