۶۶ Countries to Attend Int’l Quran Contest in Algeria

Algeria's Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs said the ۱۱th edition of the country's international Quran contest will be held with the participation of representatives from ۶۶ countries.

 According to elmoudjahid website, the competition will be held on the 20th to the 26th of the holy month of Ramadan at Dar-ol-Imam Mohammadiyyah in the capital city of Algiers.

Deputy of Quran Education Section of the ministry said the competition will be held under the supervision of Algerian President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika.
The Quran memorization and recitation competition will have two sections, the national section for Algerian Quran memorizers aged under 15 and the international section for the participants under 25 years of age.
The contest will conclude concurrent with the Night of Ghadr (26th day of Ramadan) in a ceremony to be attended by high-ranking political and cultural officials of the country as well as ambassadors of Islamic countries to Algeria.
