The country's Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Ministry organized the contest in different provinces including Cairo, Alexandria, Port Said, Damietta, Aswan, Gharbia and Kafr el-Sheikh.
The Minister of Youth also cooperated in holding the Quranic event.
Participants competed in the categories of memorization of the entire Holy Quran, memorization of half of the Quran and the best recitation.
The jury panel comprised some of Egypt's top Quran masters including Head of the country's Reciters Association Sheikh Mahmoud al-Tablawi.
The first stage of the national Quran competition had been held all over Egypt on June 2-3.
