A number of senior figures including secretary general of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought will be present at the opening ceremony.
It will be addressed by Ali Akbar Velayati, advisor to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and secretary general of the World Assembly of Islamic Awakening.
Officials from students organizations of several countries including Indonesia, Egypt, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Iraq, Chad, Sudan and Yemen will be present at the five-day event.
The Union of Islamic World Students organizes the international congress, which will discuss, among other issues, the role of knowledge and ethics in lifestyle, the efficiency of cultural models in the Muslim world, the latest developments in the region and Muslim world and the performance of Islamic movements following the Islamic Awakening in the world.
Enhancing and developing the Muslim Students Unity Network (MUSN), drafting the practical charter of Islamic unity, holding educational courses and attending international Islamic exhibitions have been among the union's activities.
