Manfaa Academy has prepared to host the Quran camp. 

The Vice President of Manfaa Academy and event manager of the Quran camp, Mohamed Thaufeeq Ali, said that the activities, held under the name "Manfaa Quran Camp" and open for participation to residents of Mahibadhoo and other islands as well, will run from the 26th to the 28th of this month. According to him, prominent Qaris will be present to conduct workshops, deliver lectures, and judge the competitions during the camp.

"A lot of programs related to the Quran will proceed in this. That is why it is called a camp, because various activities are included in it. Many famous Maldivian Qaris will participate in this. Their recitations will be heard. Then, workshops [conducted] by those Qaris will be included," Thaufeeq said.

The camp will be conducted in Mahibadhoo with the assistance of the island council, ADh. Atoll Education Centre, and several NGO's.

Activities Included in the Camp are:

Three competitions for Quran recitation by sight (tilawah)

A workshop teaching beautiful Adhan recitation, held for atoll imams and young khateebs

A special workshop for teachers regarding points to pay attention to in teaching Quran

A workshop for the general public regarding Quran recitation according to Tajweed rules

Classes held for students and young khateebs

A children's evening

Lectures open to the general public

According to Thaufeeq, while participation in the Quran competitions will initially be held online through a dedicated application, the round conducted among the top 30 participants will take place in Mahibadhoo.

He also mentioned that substantial prizes will be awarded to top achievers across all three competitions.

Thaufeeq stated that the children's evening will feature activities and games aimed at familiarizing children with Quran. The children's evening will also offer opportunities to ask questions and seek information from the participating Qaris.

Manfaa Academy is an academy run by Manfaa Organization, which was founded by Ali Rameez.
