Acquaintance with Quran Strengthens Islamic Society
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei made the statement in a meeting with members of the Iranian Quranic community on Sunday, the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, adding that what gives society the ability to move forward and put challenges behind is this very internal strength.
His Eminence said the enhancement of faith and Tawakkul (putting one's trust in God) and getting free from the fear of materialistic problems are some of the blessings of acquaintance with the Holy Book.
The Supreme Leader called for reflection on the Holy Quran, saying it helps to save the Islamic society from the darkness of ignorance.
His Eminence further highlighted the growing insight and awareness in the Islamic Ummah and said that is what the enemies of Islam are afraid of and that is why they attempt to fight Islam in the name of Islam.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the crises in Muslim countries like Iraq and said there are obvious indications that the hands of enemy spy agencies are behind these events.
Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader urged Quran activists to remain steadfast in commitment to religious injunctions.
His Eminence went on to say that the Quranic community should be a role model for the country's youth.
Prior to Ayatollah Khamenei's address, a number of Qaris attending the meeting recited verses from the Holy Quran.
Every year, members of Iran's Quranic community meet with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in the early days of the holy month of Ramadan.
