The main reason behind many problems and failures in Islamic societies is a lack of knowledge about Quranic concepts, a Pakistani religious official said.

Speaking at a forum at the 22nd International Holy Quran Exhibition in Tehran, Hassan Razavi, director general of the Awaf department in Pakistan's Punjab province, said lack of knowledge or failure to use Quranic concepts in life is the source of many problems for Muslims.
He urged that governments of Islamic countries should prepare the conditions and pave the way for people to implement Quranic teachings in society.
Razavi underlined that the Holy Quran is the source of guidance for humanity and that by implementing its precious teachings, one can reach true salvation.
He referred to verse 9 of Surah al-Isra "Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most suitable and gives good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a great reward," and said the Holy Book not only shows the right path in life but guides humanity to the ultimate destination.
He further cited several other verses from the Holy Quran and said true followers of Islam can find the right path and gain salvation through the messages of the Quran.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Razavi referred to Quranic activities in Pakistan and said the people and government of Pakistan spare no efforts to promote the Quran and implement its teachings.
The forum, which featured 'Quranic style of life' was held at the international section of the 22nd Holy Quran Exhibition on Tuesday night.
The exhibition is underway at the Holy Defense Garden Museum in Tehran until July 13.
