This was announced by Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ali Jannati during a visit to the expo on Thursday.
People’s war reception of the exhibition during the holy month could be the reason for the extension.
The exhibit had been planned to come to an end in a ceremony on Sunday, July 13.
The 22nd edition of the international Quranic event kicked off in the Holy Defense Garden-Museum in Tehran on June 24.
The motto of this year’s expo is Development of Quranic Culture with National Resolve and Jihadi Management.
