Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Naghdi told IQNA that it is the first time a Quran translation in a language other than Persian is presented along with the interpretation of the Holy Book in that language.
“The first volume of the work, which will have 5 volumes upon completion, has already been published.”
He said the institute is working on translation of the Quran in 22 languages, 7 of which are ready for publication.
Those ready for print are renderings in English, Turkish, Azeri, French, Spanish, Urdu, and Chinese, Hojat-ol-Islam Naghdi stated.
He added that the renderings of the Quran into Japanese and Georgian are in the proofreading stage will be published soon.
