630,000 Participated in Nat'l Quran Memorization Plan

In the past three years, 650,000 individuals have taken part in the national Quran memorizers training plan.

 Hojat-ol-Islam Sharafkhani, cultural deputy of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization made the remark, adding that the plan is being held this year, too.

He added that this year's memorizers training plan includes two new sections, namely thematic memorization for teenagers and youth, IRIB news reported.
Hojat-ol-Islam Sharafkhani further referred to other activities of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, saying that it has held more than 1800 Quran recitation sessions across the country in the holy month of Ramadan.
He said 9 prominent Qaris invited from Egypt have attended and recited Quran in 500 recitation sessions in different provinces.
The official also noted that 1200 religious sites in the country host Quran interpretation sessions during the holy month.
