Hezbollah secretary general underlined that the resistance movement in Gaza has achieved victory over the Zionist regime.

Speaking Friday in Beirut on the occasion of the International Quds Day, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Gaza has won the battle because the Zionists have failed to reach even one of their objectives in the Gaza Strip.

He said the Zionist enemy's objective in its offensive against Gaza was not just Hamas and Islamic Jihad but it wanted to destroy resistance all over Palestine.
"The enemy had targeted the blood of resistance flowing in the veins of Gaza people," Nasrallah stated.
He underlined that the Zionist regime's defeat in Gaza is obvious today and even some Israeli media have admitted the failure in the ground offensive and Tel Aviv's inability to stop the resistance movement's rockets from getting into the occupied lands.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Hezbollah leader urged Arab and Muslim countries to support the Palestinian resistance movement and stop putting pressure on the resistance leaders to accept a ceasefire (until their demands including an end to the Gaza blockade and the release of Palestinian prisoners are met).
He also reminded that while the Islamic Republic of Iran, Syria and the Lebanese resistance movement have spared no efforts in support of the Palestinian resistance, some (Arab and Muslim governments) have failed to take any steps for Palestine.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Naarallah referred to the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Imam Khomeini's (RA) designation of the International Quds Day and said it is a reminder that the issye of Quds and Palestine are the central issue for the Muslim world.
Imam Khomeini (RA) in August 1979 declared the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan as International Quds Day, calling on Muslims across the world to mark the annual occasion by holding street rallies.
Since then, millions of people around the world take to the streets on this day in a show of support for the people of Palestine, demanding an end to the Zionist regime's occupation of Palestinian lands.
Yesterday, too, the International Quds Day was observed in Iran and many other countries where people took to the streets to reiterate their support for the people of Palestine and denounce the Zionist regime's atrocities against the Palestinian people.
This year's Quds Day rallies come against the backdrop of a massive Israeli onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.
The Zionist regime's offensive on Gaza, which started on July 8, has left almost 850 Palestinians killed and over 5,000 other injured.
