According to IQNA’s branch in Africa, the session was attended by Musa Ali, deputy of the country’s Prime Minister, deputy of Uganda’s Health Minister, and members of Uganda’s parliament.
Representatives from Eritrea, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Libya University lecturers, representative of Al-Mustafa International University, Iranian ambassador to Uganda and Iranian cultural attaché in this country also took part at the program.
Several Egyptian Qaris also recited verses from the Holy Book in the Quranic event.
Prof. Abedi from Uganda University addressed the program and talked about justice and introduced Islam as a religion of peace and justice.
He noted that justice is not observed in today’s world especially in Gaza and the right of the people is violated.
The program was continued with recitation of the holy Quran’s verses by Ramezan Khalili, eminent Iranian Quran recite and then Taha Tawasheeh group and Shoja’ Zubaidat, Iranian Quran memorizer performed their programs.
The Iranian Quranic group has been dispatched to Uganda by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization to hold Iran’s Quranic week in his country during the Holy month of Ramadan.
