4th Nat'l Quran Competition for Students Kicks off in Mashhad

The 4th edition of Iran's national Quran, Etrat and Prayers Contest got underway in the northeastern city of Mahshad on Sunday.

According to Baratali Mansourian, an official with the Khorasan Razavi province's education department, told IRNA that the participants compete in the categories of Quran interpretation, Nahj-ul-Balaqa, religious decrees, prayers, and Sahifeh Sajjadiyeh.
He said 4000 students from all over the country are in Mashhad to take part in the competition.
Mansourian added that the boys' contest will conclude on Wednesday, August 6, and then the girls' section will start for two days.
The Shahid Beheshti hall in the holy city of Mashhad is hosting the national Quranic event, he went on to say.
